Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center & Orthopaedic Hospital

Health Care Relocations once again partnered with the UCLA Health System to execute a two phased move out of their 9 storey tower (scheduled for demolition in 2012) as well as a variety of surrounding clinics and office buildings into UCLA’s new state of the art 6 storey Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital located on the UCLA Campus in Santa Monica, California. HCR provided the planning of all move sequences, the scheduling and physical relocations of medical equipment and supplies, the move coordination and execution of the main patient move to the new facility as well as a backfill in the current facility. In total, 135 patients were relocated on Sunday, January 8th. At the conclusion of both phases, HCR provided consolidation of redundant assets including an inventory matrix to the facility.

Departments relocated during both phases were: Luskin Clinic, Dietary, Public Spaces, Gift Shop, Linen Room, Dialysis, OR Pain Management, Admissions, Radiology, Chapel, Ortho Clinic, Administration, Pain Management, Transition Offices, EVS, Library, Facilities, Lift Team, Transport, Radiology, Rehab, Telemonitoring, Nursing Offices including OR / ICU / PICU / Nutrition, Inpatient Units including Pediatrics, PICU, ICU, Geriatrics, Surgery, Medicine and Orthopaedics.

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital

Health Care Relocations spent almost a year planning for the move into the new Junipero, Oak Park and Ridley Tree pavilions at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. For the completion of this internal move, HCR provided the planning, scheduling and physical relocations of equipment including the coordination of the successful patient move on Sunday, February 12th. A total of 102 patients from a variety of inpatient units began enjoying the new design that focuses on providing a healing environment for patients and families.

Departments relocated but not limited to: Diagnostic Imaging, Materials Management, SPD, Nutrition, Communications, Security, Respiratory Care, Print Shop, Mail Room, Admitting, Spiritual Care, PBX, PACU, Therapy Services, Satellite Pharmacy, Case Manager Offices, Pre-Surgical Services, Surgical Short Stay, Pre – Op, 11 ORs, and inpatient units including Ante partum, Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, MICU, SICU, Mother / Infant , Cardiac Telemetry, Neurology, Surgical Trauma, Respiratory, Renal and Infectious Diseases.

Duke Medicine – Comprehensive Cancer Center

Duke Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center is an addition to the existing Duke Medicine - Morris Cancer Center for outpatient services. HCR provided planning and relocations services for the physical move of assets in addition to consolidation services at the existing facility. The Outpatient population consisted of clinics as well as clinic support areas.

Spread over three phases in order to negate any downtime, over 20 departments were relocated which included but not limited to: Prostate Clinic, Medical Hematology Clinic, Surgical Oncology Clinic, Radiology, Radiation Oncology as well as Clinical Trials, Infusion, Pharmacy, and an Investigation Drug Pharmacy.


 


Mercy Willard Hospital

Willard, Ohio, United States

Mercy Willard Hospital (MWH) moved into their new 2 story replacement facility following the carefully planned move sequencing provided by Health Care Relocations. Over the past year, HCR worked with MWH to plan and sequence a seamless move which included the logistical coordination and physical relocation of the hospital assets and successful transfer of 9 patients. MWH has an average of 10,500 Emergency Department visits per year and has 183 physicians on staff.
