University Health Network Relocations from Mt. Sinai, Ontario Cancer Institute, Princess Margaret Hospital, and University of Toronto to the TMDT (Toronto Medical Discovery Tower), 2005
These relocations involved advanced planning, scheduling and the physical relocation of UHN’s many Principal Investigators to the new Discovery Tower. This move included the relocation of the PI’s office’s, their laboratories, research, as well as all their staff, and equipment. We assisted with vendor coordination and the verification of electrical and mechanical requirements.
Brant Community Health System Internal Moves and Paris, Ontario to Brantford, Ontario, 2005
This relocation involved moving some existing departments internally, and from different offsite locations into the addition and renovated existing facility (110,000 square feet). Our work entailed all relocation planning, including scheduling and sequencing of the moves. Through department interviews we planned and physically relocated Outpatient Physio, and Inpatient Physio. Our involvement also encompassed the planning and physical relocation of Inpatient units from the Willet Hospital in Paris.
Fisher Titus Medical Center Norwalk, Ohio, 2005
This relocation involved relocating some existing departments into a newly constructed 130,000 square foot attached addition. Our work involved all relocation planning, including scheduling and sequencing of the moves. Through department interviews we planned and physically relocated Materials Management, Social Work and Case Managers, Dieticians, Dietary, Environmental Services, ICU, Obstetrics, Central Nursing Unit, Same Day Surgery, Quality Case Management, Packing and relocation of the Gift Shop, and Respiratory. All redundant assets were relocated and staged for disposal.
The Hospital for Sick Children HSC to TMDT (Toronto Medical Discovery Tower) Toronto, Ontario, 2005
This relocation was quite similar to our planning and relocation work at BC Cancer. This relocation was for the transfer of researchers from Sick Kids to the new 75,000 square foot research tower. Principal Investigators including all their staff, offices, labs and research were transferred into the new detached tower one block away. Our work involved all planning, scheduling, sequencing including the physical transfer of each and every lab. Included with our service were all equipment verifications. This involved a structured analysis of each and every piece of equipment being relocated. All electrical and mechanical requirements were verified at the existing site, followed by a complete examination of the new site to ensure that each piece of equipment was correctly allocated before the relocation. We also received equipment offsite. Then unpackaged, inventoried, verified, assembled, transferred to site, relocated and installed equipment.
West Parry Sound Health Centre Parry Sound, Ontario, 2005
This relocation involved relocating the existing James Street and Church Street sites into the new 375,000 square foot replacement facility. Our work involved move planning, and sequencing, transferable equipment verifications, relocations and installations. The Bellevue Hospital Bellevue, Ohio, 2005
This project required the relocation of the old facility into a new 130,000 square foot facility. Our work included advanced planning meetings, and detailed scheduling of relocation. The relocation included, but was not limited to: Radiology, Maintenance, Infection Control, Housekeeping, Administration, Human Resources, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Operating Rooms, IT, Occupational Therapy, Birthing Center, Cardiopulmonary, and Dietary. HCR was also responsible for the co-ordination, and relocation of all transferable equipment, and consolidation of all redundant furniture and equipment.
B.C Cancer Center Vancouver, British Columbia, 2005
This project required the complete relocation of the existing Cancer Center. We relocated 60 Principal Investigators, their research, researchers and laboratories including equipment from multiple out-buildings, into the new 375,000 square foot facility. Our work included advanced planning meetings, detailed integrated scheduling, and the co-ordination and execution of all transferable equipment, including all laboratory equipment. The relocation included, but was not limited to: Administration Services, Advanced Therapeutics, Cancer Control Research, Cancer Endocrinology, Cancer Genetics, Cancer Imaging, Foundation, Genome Science Center, Medical Biophysics, Terry Fox Laboratory, Tumour Tissue Repository.
