As President, Pat involves himself in all relocations. His many years of experience give him the ability to see the big picture while maintaining focus on the many small details. From the outset of a move, Pat maintains his team's vision of a seamless transfer to the new site. The quality of patient care throughout the move is paramount with every effort made to minimize any disruptions to the facility. Pat will make sure the lines of communication remain open with all stakeholders and that every aspect of the relocation will be understood in advance and planned for accordingly. Pat earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics from Trent University in Peterborough. Previously, he worked in various planning and facilities management positions.
Colleen has a strong clinical background with over 25 years of executive healthcare and project management experience. She has provided creative and innovative leadership to major hospital portfolios and regional healthcare planning including: capital redevelopment and facilities planning; occupancy/transition planning; clinical and non-clinical project management; I.T., diagnostic imaging/PACS, nuclear medicine, laboratory medicine, pharmacy, cardiac rehab, ambulatory services, surgical services, medicine, maternal infant child, therapeutic and rehabilitation services. Colleen has also worked for the Ministry of Health and long term as an independent healthcare consultant for functional programming and operational process reviews. Her project and consulting work includes detailed process reviews through a team-based, practical project management approach.
Colleen began her career as an MLT with an ART in clinical microbiology and is a member of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario. She is certified in Canadian Health Services Management with the Canadian Hospitals Association; Lean Healthcare, Project Management Masters and is currently completing a Masters in Healthcare Administration.
Since 1997, Mike has been working with Pat at HCR and is currently managing multiple projects from the West Coast office. Mike applies his knowledge of Project Management to implement procedural guidelines that have been proven efficient in the field. His involvement with past and current projects helps to refine our processes allowing constant improvement of HCR's quality of service. Mike's dedication to each project shows throughout every stage; from the first introduction through to the flawless execution of the finest level of detailed patient move logistics. Mike is an experienced construction manager and a licensed carpenter.
Rob has over 15 years of hands-on experience working in healthcare facilities all over Canada and the United States. He oversees multiple projects while assisting other Project Managers with their relocation planning issues. Rob has extensive onsite experience and works together with our project team to ensure the success of every relocation. Rob manages relocation logistical concerns throughout the planning and relocation process. His vast experience and eye for detail makes him an instrumental part of the HCR organization.
In this capacity, Dave is responsible for international marketing efforts, project costing and contract administration. He has been with Health Care Relocations since 1997. Dave graduated from Trent University with Honours and has a Bachelor Degree in Administration and Policy Studies as well as Business Administration and Marketing Diploma from Sir Sanford Fleming College. His many years of direct onsite planning and physical relocation experience lends well to his understanding of the entire relocation process. Dave is able to visualize each health facility relocation project from a basic overview and conceptualize the functional flow of each department to ensure a seamless transfer to the new site.
With over 30 years of clinical healthcare experience, Laurie is an accomplished project manager with 15 years of project management experience in hospitals and as an independent healthcare consultant. Her project and consulting work has included many hospital-wide strategic initiatives such as the implementation of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), the implementation of pharmacy automation systems, lean processing to improve patient safety, operational reviews and transition/occupancy planning. Laurie has also facilitated and lead hospital design and occupancy planning teams in support of transition planning to new and/or renovated facilities.
Her project and consulting work includes detailed process reviews and she has always stressed the importance teamwork and, gains in efficiency through her system-wide and standard approach to project management.
Laurie attended the University of Western Ontario and the Toronto Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology before beginning her career as a medical laboratory technologist. Laurie began her career as an MLT and is a member of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario. Laurie is certified in Lean Healthcare and Project Management.
As VP of Customer Relations, Ian is responsible for sourcing projects for Health Care Relocations. His role also includes maintaining current relationships with existing clients and new additions to HCR. Ian has a tremendous amount of experience in healthcare facility management and comes to HCR after working for one of Canada's largest healthcare teaching facilities for over a decade. Ian is fully certified in AutoCAD technology which also allows him to oversee and maintain our current AutoCAD and Data Management team. Ian draws on a degree in Political Science with a minor in communication from John Abbott College in Montreal, Canada.
Jeff is a Senior Project Manager with HCR and plays a critical role in the implementation of the planning, scheduling and relocating process. He has an extensive background in business development and special projects and is responsible for the creation and implementation of the systems HCR uses to deliver quality service and employees. He comes to HCR from a Fortune 500 company and is an experienced pilot.
Jason is a licensed carpenter with many years experience working in various aspects of the healthcare field and joined HCR in 2001. During this time, Jason has polished many roles that include pre-move planning coordination, relocation configuration of high-tech and large equipment items, project planning, scheduling and relocation implementation. He has an extensive education with a background in electrical and mechanical applications.
In 2003, Greg became a part of HCR and has been involved in multiple levels of our project management team; from project planning and scheduling to the implementation and execution of the physical relocation. Greg has a diverse background with diplomas from Confederation College in Human Resources and Human Resource Management as well as 10 years experience in the construction field as a builder.
As a Project Manager, Joe's areas of expertise include onsite project assessment, logistical planning, scheduling and implementing all types of relocations within the healthcare industry. He specializes in international research laboratory relocations which include customs clearance documentation for the transport of lab equipment and biological samples. Joe has been with HCR since the company's inception in 1993. His background in the transportation industry provides him with expertise in the logistics and the handling of sensitive high tech equipment.
